Together Apart

Together Apart

This collage is a part of a collection designed to honor the ways people found connection during the covid-19 pandemic. This image was inspired by pets and how much our connections with them grew during the pandemic. I often found myself feeling like I was in a fish bowl looking out at the world from my home during days of quarantine. Also, having a fish as a pet often leaves you wanting for touch and cuddles – much like we felt as social distancing was required. So I imagined the boy looking longingly at the goldfish, just as it might be looking at him. The words, “together apart” are incorporated into this piece.
