Come See my Art in Person!

Hello friend,

As the holiday season approaches, I am excited to once again be taking my art out of my studio and into the wild! This year, I am thrilled to be participating in two upcoming events that celebrate the magic of the season and showcase the beauty of handmade creations—the Wild Arts Festival with Portland Audubon in Portland, and the Handmade Holiday Market in Parkdale, Oregon.

The Wild Arts Festival, hosted by the renowned Portland Audubon, is a unique celebration that combines art, nature, and conservation. Taking place this weekend, November 18 and 19 at the PSU Viking Pavilion, this festival provides a platform for artists like myself to connect with a community that shares a deep appreciation for the outdoors and wildlife. With a focus on promoting conservation efforts, the Wild Arts Festival is not just an art show; it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on our environment as a percentage of all sales go to support the Portland Audubon’s conservation efforts.

My artwork for the Wild Arts Festival will include many of the originals featured in my 2024 wall calendar focused on migratory birds. These avian wonders, with their vibrant colors and graceful movements, have always been a muse for my creative endeavors. Through my pieces, I aim to capture the essence of these creatures and instill a sense of wonder and admiration for the natural world. New this year, I will also have reproductions of my work on canvas which I’m really excited for you to see. Of course, I’ll be offering my calendars, day planner, cards, and books for sale as well. Hope you can make it! It’s really an amazing show and I am so honored to be a part of it!

Following this exciting event, I am equally thrilled to be a part of the Mt Hood Town Hall’s Handmade Holiday Market right here in Parkdale, Oregon. This charming local market is one of my all-time favorites. Save the date now for Sunday, December 3rd from 10am to 4pm. You can do your holiday shopping while supporting local makers; eat a tasty homemade meal; visit with Santa; and get your Christmas tree! It’s truly a one-stop-shop! Plus, new this year, they will have a “Made by Kids” Market from 10am to noon. It really is the sweetest little market out there and you won’t want to miss it!

For the Handmade Holiday Market, I have curated a collection of pieces that reflect the warmth and spirit of the season. From winter-themed artwork to personalized creations, each piece is crafted with love and care. I believe that art has the power to bring joy and create lasting memories, making it the ideal gift for this time of year.

Participating in these events is not only a chance to showcase my art but also an opportunity to connect with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. The sense of community and shared passion for creativity that permeates these gatherings is so inspiring and adds a special dimension to the holiday season.

As I prepare to showcase my work at these events, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to share my art with the world. These events represent more than just art shows; they are a celebration of nature, community, and the joy that comes from creating and appreciating handmade treasures. I invite you to join me and discover the magic that unfolds when creativity and community come together. Thank you for your support!

With gratitude and love.
