Happy New Year! Yes, I realize we're already three weeks into it, but I’ve been taking some time to reflect on all that 2018 brought by taking a reflection retreat hosted by the amazing Melanie McCloskey and working with her as a life coach as well. (Can't recommend her enough!) Through these deep dives I've taken time to glean the lessons and celebrate the accomplishments of 2018 including: letting go of good for amazing, a giant leap into my life as a full time artist, and taking time to celebrate the new season of my life. It was a year that I did all I could to stay true to myself and I really feel better than I have in a long time.
I have a tradition of choosing a word of the year for many years now (“Trust” for 2012, “Alive” for 2013, “Fly” for 2014, “Space” for 2015, “Thrive” in 2016, “Awakening” for 2017, and "Devoted to Intuition for 2018). This focus ended up choosing me last year. I am still very much on the mindfulness journey and turning into my intuition is and will be a daily practice for a long time to come. In staying tuned into intuition as much as possible throughout the last year, I took care of myself in a way I had never done before.
By doing so I learned that self-love and self-care are the only means to achieve generosity and service at the level that feels authentic to me.
In other words, I can't give what I don't have. When I fill my cup, I have that much more to give those I hope to serve. And I can live my most authentic life, fully and wholeheartedly. More than that...
I can SOAR!
And that, my friends, is how I feel right now. I feel like I'm emerging from my chrysalis and once my wings dry, I have a feeling I'm not going to be satisfied with simply flying. I need to soar.
So what does that look like for how I will serve you? Well, I'm mapping that all out as we speak. For starters... I know for sure there will be:
- More adult classes to foster play, creativity, and connection,
More kids' classes too!
LOADS of new art - like the 12 new images I've just uploaded into my Etsy shop!
I will have some originals for sale for the first time in years,
And I will be launching a brand spanking new website in a few short weeks!
And I'm just getting warmed up. I am so excited for all that I plan and hope to bring to you as I soar through this year!
