I have recently started taking Kelly Rae Robert’s Flying Lessons class and am LOVING it. She has provided just a wealth of knowledge, tips and tricks all while keeping it fun, creative and entertaining. It has certainly put a little giddyup in my step to get going on my own creative biz.
Don’t know about the rest of you, but I get stalled out with the overwhelming amount of information out there that I need to learn to get started. But this class has really helped me see that:
1. It’s doable if I put my mind to it.
2. Everyone starts somewhere.
3. Take a little step each day toward what you want to see happen.
I know, I know. We’re not talking earth-shattering epiphanies here, but sometimes all it takes is a good nudge and a supportive group of people to get you off your booty and into action.
Thanks Kelly Rae for the initial push… wings are starting to flap. Look out!

Have you read the book “My Stroke of Insight” by Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D.? It is truly amazing, insightful and inspirational. If you’re not familiar with the premise, here’s a snippet from the back cover: “On December 10, 1996, Jill Bolte Taylor, a thirty-seven-year-old Harvard-trained brain scientist, experiences a massive stroke in the left hemisphere of her brain, As she observed her mind deteriorate to the point that she could not walk, talk, read, write or recall any of her life – all within four hours – Taylor alternated between the euphoria of the intuitive and kinesthetic right brain, in which she felt a sense of complete well-being and peace, and the logical, sequential left brain, which recognized that she was havinga stroke and enabled her to seek help before she was completely lost.”
It is truly an amazing story (and I’m only half way through the book!). As someone who studied science, I am enthralled with her genuine fascination with what was happening to her. Because of her approach and detailed account of her experience, her story is so insightful. She is able to give an inspiring story of recovery as well as testimonial that inner peace is accessible to all of us. I encourage you to check it out!
