Well, I eluded to it last month and the time has come to let you know – I’m moving! We’re still staying in our beautiful area near the base of Mt. Hood, but we are moving to a new home and my studio is moving with us! What will this move mean for Found & Rewound? Well, you’ve likely noticed that things have been pretty quiet around here the last couple months because I’ve had to put my energy and focus on the move. So I expect you’ll notice much more activity around these parts once we get settled into our new digs! (more…)
I know it has been pretty quiet around these parts the last few months. Life has been full of BIG changes around here lately. (I’ll share more soon!) Given that spring is in full force and Mother’s Day is right around the corner, I felt the time was right to pop in and share some love for all the mamas out there – including the Big Mama – Mother Nature. Hello friends! And happy new year (a little late, but hey…)! Can you believe it’s 2016?! It seems like a year that felt soo far away not that long ago. And now here we are. While we’re not teleporting through space or flying in little space cars like the Jetsons…yet, it still seems like we’ve landed in the years that I used to think about when people talked about “the future”. And I can honestly say that I feel really, really good about “the future” that is now my present. (more…)
Hope you all had a lovely holiday surrounded by friends and loved ones and filled with warmth, peace and laughter!
As we count down the hours left in 2015, I thought I would share a little behind-the-scenes video of the creation of my 2016 wall calendar. Fun!
Hello friends! They’re heeeerrrrre!! The holidays are back, and like nearly everyone I know, we’re up to our armpits in holiday goodness. With a 3-year-old in the house, I find myself trying to provide him with a healthy balance of indulgence in the excitement of receiving extra treats and presents and the joy and beauty in giving as well. As with most of parenting, I’ve found that the best way to teach this is to model it myself. This year, I’m trying to take every opportunity to include our little man in selecting and making gifts for friends and family. And with our gift giving, we’re emphasizing simple, thoughtful, creative, handmade and local – where we can. If you’re in search of some ways to do some giving that includes these values too, look no further. (more…)
As I write this little post, the sun is shining, there is a dusting of snow on the ground, and I’m warm inside sitting next to a cozy fire. In short, I’m feeling pretty grateful for the many blessings in my life right now… not the least of which is YOU! So I thought I would take this opportunity to express a little gratitude, share some updates on exciting artful happenings and new holiday goodies available just for you! (more…)
Hooray!!! The day has finally come and my 2016 wall calendars are now available! They look great and I am so excited to put this little creation out into the world. I hope you all enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed making them! (more…)
Yes, it’s been a long time between posts again. I have been giving myself permission to spend my free moments creating rather than keeping up with blog posts and social media updates. As I explained over here, I’ve been given the gift of perspective this year and it’s helped me get focused on what’s most important in my life. Making time to create is way up there on my list. So… that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. And I’m super excited to give you a sneak peak at my latest project and product!
Hello friends! This past weekend I took a break from the business stuff to get into the studio and create a little! I decided to go ahead and throw my hat (or shoes in this case) into Lilla Roger’s 2015 Global Talent Search competition. Here’s a sneak peak at my entry and the process… (more…)
Just thought I’d give a quick update on life around here lately. As you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t been able to post on the weekly schedule. Summer has been full of life and family and garden and sun and art. I’m allowing myself the time to soak it all in and trust that you guys have your own lives that are full and rich as well. We’ll all reconvene on a more regular routine again once we’re able. In the meantime, I’ve been plugging away in the studio in between squirt gun fights, family visits, the endless garden harvest, and fruit processing. And I’ve encouraged myself do some “fun” little business marketing tasks too… the most recent of which was (more…)
