Love to Your Mother

Love to Your Mother

Hello friends! I know it has been pretty quiet around these parts the last few months. Life has been full of BIG changes around here lately. (I'll share more soon!) Given that spring is in full force and Mother's Day is right around the corner, I felt the time was right to pop in and share some love for all the mamas out there - including the Big Mama - Mother Nature. I invite you to take a minute right now and think about your mom. What comes up? It can be so different for each of us, but nearly all of us have BIG emotions tied to mom. For most of us, few relationships are as powerful, influential and emotionally charged as the one we have with our mothers. For me, I see this to be true both with my relationship with my mom and with Mother Nature. In very different ways, both have taught me the power of connection, the art of balance, and the depth of love for and from family. And now as a mother myself, I'm learning these mama lessons all over again from a brand new perspective. One thing seems certain... Mama love is unconditional, powerful, and timeless. Spring is a time of year that really brings mamas to the center stage. Mother Nature breathes new life into the world around us. Birds, bees and babies abound as the hope of a new growing season begins. As a mama, some of my favorite moments are those spent with my baby in nature.

So in honor of all the mamas out there, I've decided to make this image from May in my 2016 wall calendar available as an art print and greeting card just in time for Mother's Day. Like much of my art, this one features a scene from my life - a sweet little hand in mine doing one of my favorite spring tasks - planting the veggie garden. Little messages are tucked into this image saying "living in harmony" and "connection". I hope it reminds you of all those little mama moments that shape a childhood. Love to your mother!! (And mine too - love you, mom!)
